Low-density (400KB or 800KB) Mac floppy disks

High-density (1.44MB) Mac-formatted floppy disks are supported by MacDrive.  However, low-density (400KB and 800KB) Mac floppy disks are not accessible from Windows due to physical differences between Macintosh and PC floppy drives.

If you have a low-density Mac floppy, you will have to use a Macintosh to copy the files from the low-density disk to some other disk, such as an external hard drive, ZIP disk, or high-density (1.44MB) Mac floppy. Once you have done this, you’ll have no trouble getting to your files on the PC with MacDrive.
