During installation or use of MacDrive, MacDrive may return an error that critical components are not available or missing.
1 - If you are using a 64-bit operating system, this error will occur if using a version of MacDrive that does not support 64-bit support. 64-bit Vista support was introduced in MacDrive 7.2.0; versions 7.1.0 and older (as well as MacDrive 6 and prior versions will not support 64-bit.
2 - Please ensure that the system clock is set to the correct time and date. If the date and time are incorrect, please change the date and time to be accurate. Then, restart the computer.
3 - This error can occur if MacDrive is installed prior to installing Boot Camp drivers from Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). This is a failsafe measure intended to prevent conflict. Please repair or reinstall MacDrive and reboot when prompted to resolve the problem. Please note that MacDrive 7.2.9 (or newer) is required for use with Boot Camp drivers from Mac OS 10.6.
4 - If the above steps do not resolve the problem, please create a technical support ticket with a detailed problem description and information on your computer's configuration.
